I ‘m unable to install Snow leopard on my Mac Book Pro, when I insert the disk and try to install the below message is coming up, “You need to restart your computer .Hold Down the power Button until it turns off , the Press the Power Button Again.” also fairly I’m new to Mac,

You need to restart your computer, and when its booting hold down "C". It will then boot from the CD. Then go to disk utility, erase your drive and install SL.

Not a lot of information given here.

What model are you trying to install SL on and is it a SL disc or a model specific disc that came with it?

Thanks

Thanks for your effort to help me , finally problem is resolved, The discs which I am installing they didn’t come with my mac book pro , recently I upgraded to mountain lion , everything went smooth

Thanks
