Need a internet connection timer

I've recently signed up for an internet plan that gives me 100 hrs per month, and then I have to pay a hefty fee for each additional hour.

I've been searching all over for a timer program that will log how long I've been connected to this service so that I can keep track of my usage, but haven't found any sort of automated timer.

Does my Mac somehow do this automatically? If not, can anyone recommend some software that would log internet use so I can know when I'm approaching the limit?
