iPod need a new battery for 30g ipod

Hi,
looking for recommendations for an aftermarket battery for a 3rd gen ipod. I see them on ebay and on many sites when i do a google search.
what i'd like to know is anyones personal experience if they care to share.
I can't tell if theres an energizer or duracell type battery(quality wise) out there or if they are all no name, chinese and japanese knock offs.
are there oem batteries available? I can't find them
are they different or generally the same/

The Newer Tech branded batteries work at least as well as the ones provided by Apple. They're also nice enough to include little tools that make it a lot harder to gouge up your iPod when replacing.

You really don't see the Apple OEM batteries offered for sale, they would rather have you send in the iPod and let them do the replacement.

I bought the Newer Tech battery for my 20gb 3G iPod a few months ago. Works great, although the included disassembly tools were worthless. I get more playtime then ever before.

I am interested in peoples experiences.
I see batteries out there at 850 mh, 900 mh, 950 mh and 1100 mh!
newer tech is reasonable and their instructions look pretty straight forward.
