Hey guys,

Getting ready to throw down on a new macbook Pro here. Lots of thanks to some users in another thread who helped me work through the specs! Now I've just got one final thing I want to nail down before pulling the trigger.

I've been accessing drives using an eSata 4-bay enclosure. It's been set up as a JBOD. It has been working great, but unfortunately there's no direct support for this with the new MBPros.

I've considered a USB 3.0 enclosure. The 8 Bay media sonic ProBoxes look nice. I see some threads where people have had lots of issues getting them working with Macs, but it appears that they've since fixed the issue. If not the ProBox, I would be open to other USB 3 solutions.

I also thought a bit about a NAS solution. However, I don't really have a need to push the files onto a network, and it seems the added complexity wouldn't be worth it.

I've also come across a thunderbolt --> Esata convertor. Definitely an option, though I'm a bit inclined to spend the money on the 8Bay enclosure instead (having the additional 4 bays would be quite useful for me)

The pegasus looks nice, but I also have an older tower that I'd like the enclosure to play friendly with.

I'm definitely leaning towards the ProBox, but I know that you guys might have some other thoughts or be able to point out anything I may have missed. Would love your advice.
