Need a new external monitor, have about $250 to spend

I need a new external monitor for college since I won't be bringing a TV with me, I'll use it to watch tv/movies as well as type papers on it. It'll be used on my desk as part of my docking station if you will. I see Woot (moofi) sometimes has a rebranded HP for $140 that is a 23" widescreen, which looks nice. What else is there in my price range? I want something at least 22". I like Dell Ultrasharps, but I think they are out of my price range.

Ok, so I found out that I have a 2005FPW, which is a 20" widescreen ultrasharp, which is smaller than I thought it was, but has a very nice picture.


Anyhow, I've narrowed it down to 3 options:

It is 24" has hdmi, dvi, and vga, also it has 300 cd/m2 brightness, the dell you were looking at is only 250 cd/m2. Also if you game at all this is a far better choice because it is a 2ms screen not the 5ms-8ms like on the others. Another thing to consider this monitor has built in speakers so you can always just use those without hooking up externals if you don't want to.

Damn, I think we just found a winner! Although the Asus isn't LED.
