Need a nice dependable external hdd (port)

Just what the title says, I've been looking at the Toshiba and Seagate lines... I need something dependable that my MBP has enough internal power to support. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, do any of the portable versions of these drives support firewire or only usb?

I like the WD Passport. I bought my second one today at bestbuy. 250 gig usb for $99. I think WD is now making one just for mac with usb and firewire.
