Need a PCI SATA card for my G4

So I have some plans for an old quicksilver that's gone mostly unused for the last few years. As part of this, I need to pick up a pci sata controller to add some drives.

I was shopping for cards, and noticed the mac specific cards from sonnet are much more expensive than others I've found (on newegg, etc). Based on my usual experience, mac specific hardware is often interchangeable with more generic counterparts at a lower cost. (Nobody needs to say video card, i know...)

Anyway, just wondered if anyone has any experience here? Advice on a cheap usb2 card and possible 802.11n adapter would be bonuses

For SATA, try to track down an Acard 6290M. It's drivers are built into OS X.

For USB2, any generic card with an NEC chipset will work. No drivers needed.

Personally, I don't think it's worth even dumping $10 into a machine that old.

The intended uses for this project are far from processor intensive, so the age isn't too much of a factor. Obviously I'm trying to keep it cheap, but so far it looks like this will be pretty cost effective actually!
