need a recommendation a strong protective case for iphone 4s

I'm looking at getting a case for my new white iphone 4s. I just took it out for the 1st time and holding it in my pocket i realised 'if i drop this... im screwed'

i have already ordered the case mate card holding case just because i think its a great idea.
but im not sure how protective it is.

if anyone has any recommendations on a good case that would be great

Otterbox commuter if you want superior protection but the only downside is the extra bulk the case adds.

My wife got the new otterbox defender and it definitely looks like the phone will survive a drop or two in it (that case was one of te conditions of her getting the phone since her 3GS was hitting the ground on a near constant basis...again, it survived thanks to otterbox).

I got the LifeProof at Best Buy. I have had Otterbox for the last two models, but decided on the LifeProof as it is no where near as bulky. There is also a 20% off coupon available.

Try the Incipio NGP. More lightweight, doesn't catch in pocket and good protection. Just use a PowerSupport film on the front too.

Doesn't bend out of shape either.
