My father wants to buy a fax/scanner. He wants a good quality one. One that has a very good feeder and is reliable.
If it is just a fax that is alright also. He said it would be nice for it to be able to scan but is not important.
he wants to spend around 500 bucks I believe. If less that would be great. Any help would be much appreciated.

I have an inkjet printer/fax/scanner/card reader combination that cost me about $100. It's for personal/home use only, but I use all the features.

For the kind of money he's willing to spend, he should be able to get a really good unit. Is this for personal or professional use? I would say that he needs to decide that, and determine what features he really needs before making a purchase.

professional

he needs it for professional use.
the feeder is the most important feature.
