Is anyone else looking for a third-party clipboard manager app that would allow you to create text in a simple little window summoned from a keyboard shortcut or contextual menu command that would make anything composed within instantly paste-able? I'm tired of using TextEdit! Tired of ⌘A, ⌘C, ⌘-tab, ⌘V, ⌘C, ⌘V, what a pain!
UPDATED:
I thought that LaunchBar might be it. I was skeptical. I emailed them and got a prompt reply from the developer, Norbert Heger:
You can do this with LaunchBar.
Select the "Copy as Plain Text" action, press the Space bar and enter
your text. The entered text will then be copied to the clipboard
automatically. And of course it then also appears in LaunchBar's
clipboard history.
Actually this should work with LaunchBar's "Copy" action as well (which
would be more straightforward), but due to a bug in the current version
it doesn't. This will be fixed in the next release.
