I hear that some macs and some adapters dont work well together. I am in need of a cord or adapter to plug into my thunderbolt and connect to my samsung monitor through hdmi. It would be nice to have just a cord and skip the adapter. I checked and my mac lists hdmi/display port audio output.

I have a macbook pro 13" 2.3ghz early 2011. I would really like to hear from other owners which adapters worked well for them.

hmmm. You say you want us to tell you about what adapters, and you want a single cord???
You cannot get a single cord, you will need an adapter I would suggest the apple mini display port to hdmi adapter.

You can get a single cable. I got the cheapest mini display port to HDMI cable from eBay, and it works fine with my Thunderbolt Mac (MBP 13" early 2011).

Audio works as well :)

Do you have a link? I only see the adapters.

i have a 'rocketfish' adapter. works great. got it from best buy for i think $25. if your looking to get a quick fix. that way u dont have to wait on amazon to ship it to you.

I found this in another thread here in this forum. I'll quote the original poster as to give them credit for it. Has anyone had any experience with this cable and to how well it works?

Do I maybe need to not use an adapter? Could that be the issue? Would this allow higher resolution?

EDIT: Upon reading the reviews for this, it does not do audio over this cable. So if you need audio too, then this wouldn't be for you.
