Hello,

Unfortunately not enough money in my pocket to purchase the new 30" Monitor so I'm trying to connect one of the older ones I purchased but I need the proper adapter to be able to connect it to 2011 MacbookPro

I will upload a picture.. so you guys can see the plug coming
out of the Mac HDTV

any idea where can I buy an adapter or...

Right, after some research, it seems that what you are trying to do is not always that easy!

You need to convert to 'real' DVI first and then to the Mini DisplayPort. But the power also goes though the ACD... so......

This is the the best I could find may be a good starting point for ya!

What you need is an Apple Display Connector to DVI adaptor, which have been discontinued for some time. You can still find them on amazon marketplace, ebay, and the like. For your reference the apple part number is M8661LL/B. On top of that you will need a mini display port to dvi adaptor, which run about $30 dollars from apple. The converter box is a rather expensive part, probably at least $100. Trying to use the old monitor might not be your best option, but thats how you do it.
