Well to keep it short, I am looking to connect my uni MBP to my flatscreen TV.

I want to buy this VGA cable: http://www.amazon.com/10ft-Resoluti...3?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1273006025&sr=1-3

Of course the apple adapter (MiniDisply to VGA)

and I also want to buy this for audio: http://www.amazon.com/Cables-Unlimi...1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1273005805&sr=8-1

Would this work? I know my TV has VGA and it has an audio port below it that i would think would be for the above cable but does anyone know about that?

Also how clear would the image be? Im not looking for super Hi def but I dont want to be any less than 720p. Thanks for all your help I hope this made sense.

EDIT: Fixed Link

To help with cable management I got one with the VGA and audio bundled together in one cable (they split apart at the ends so you can plug the audio into the audio port and the vga into the vga port.

e.g., http://www.cablesforless.com/p-1901-10-feet-mm-svga-cable-cl2-rated-with-35mm-audio.aspx?v=1909

Regarding 720p or better: Very likely. It's up to your TV. It is just going to act as an external monitor for your MBP. Just like for any monitor, you'll be able to choose (under display preferences on your mac) from the resoltions/frequencies that both your Mac's display adapter and TV support. Hopefully, you'll be able to select your TV's native resolution.
