Hey everyone,

So as I was sitting on the floor with my unibody Macbook, my little cousin fell over his chair and the chair slammed into the keyboard, leaving a nice dent and cracking the command key... :( :(

After freaking out and letting out some steam, i looked to see if i could fix it myself. I took out the keys and found out i would not be able to bend it back upright. So then i went to see if anything else can be done.

Apparently i am still under limited warranty until nov 30, 2009, and can purchase applecare protection plan before then.. so my question is can i purchase the applecare protection plan even after the damage has been done, and would the frame and keys be repaired free from an apple technician? Also, i'm away in Korea right now... but apparently theres apple certified repairs shops nearby...

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Apple Care does not cover accidential damage. You'd be wasting your money buying an extended warranty now.

thanks for getting back to me, I need to either buy a new top case and reinstall it myself or pay a shop to do it... either way i know its going to be pricey
