Hey guys, I need some help on trying to connect my iMac to my HDTV. I want to connect it to the HDMI port, so I know that I'll need the apple mini-DVI to DVI cable. And then I want use this ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812998033 ) to connect to the tv. But I've read things about there being different types of DVI cables and the like, and was wondering if you guys had any experience here, and could help me to see if this setup would work. Thanks for any help in advance.

Looks similar to the cable I'm using with my mini:

Remember that those cables don't do sound -- just video -- so you'll need another cable for audio, or one of the more expensive single cables where the end that plugs into your computer has a DVI plug and an audio plug.

Should work. I'm pretty sure the mini-DVI to DVI adaptor carries all the DVI signals. If this is the case, it should be fine to then use a DVI to HDMI cable to your tv set.
