So i have a 6+ ordered via Apple to arrive between the 1st and 6th of October.

Should I go to the Apple Store on Friday morning and try and buy one? Do you know if the money is locked to the Apple purchase online so I can't use it then cancel the order?

Do you know if the Apple store will be able to cancel the order in store?

Would you suggest going? it's in the mall just outside of LA I was thinking of going around 6am?

Good luck getting a 6+.

Me personally? I'd just wait for my pre-order to arrive.

Go Friday morning? You mean more like go on Thursday and camp out if you want a 6+. Also, You need to cancel your pre-order in order for your eligibility to reset which could take 2-3 days according to the carriers.

what time would i need to arrive? do you know if the money is tied down?

I still think launch day is going to be a long shot. But new units usually trickle in every day or two. You'd probably have better luck coming in next week when the lines drop down a bit. A lot of timing it's just good timing....or making a good relationship with someone in the store who will give you the heads up on incoming inventory and try to help you secure it.

so going at 11pm on Thursday night isn't worth it?

Swing by on Thursday night and see if there is a line. LA is a big market. Lines are bound to start early. 11pm might be sufficient. Really depends on the market. I would say forget it for 6am though. I wouldn't even bother considering anything much past 2-3am

If you really want a 6+ on Friday then go early to your apple store on Thursday to see if there's already a line and if not then keep checking back every so often. Unless you in the very front you might not get a 6+.
