Need Advice on a 2nd Device (Graphic Designer)

Last year I bought a brand new Imac to replace my previous Imac and I adore it, can't be happier.

Now I'm working increasingly mobile, I need a second device to use on the go and torn between getting a Macbook Pro or an Ipad Pro.

I waited till today to see what the new devices have to offer and the price has completely put me off getting the latest model.

So it comes down to the Ipad Pro 9.7 plus keyboard and pencil or

The previous model macbook pro 13inch retina display.

Any advice would be appreciated.
