I am located in Japan & so I need to unlock my phone wherever i purchase it.
Here are my options and I really do not know where to look for the best advice.
I will want a 16G, with the apple warranty intact & preferably already unlocked.
My choices:
1) Purchase a phone here in Japan & unlock it myself.
2) Purchase an unlocked phone in Hong Kong (are these permanently unlocked?)
3) Purchase a new phone from Ebay & unlock myself
4) Purchase a new unlocked phone from Ebay.
Can you let me know which is the best option? What prices should I expect to pay? Will I be protected by the warranty?
Even if I purchase an unlocked one now, don't I have to keep updating the unlock software with the software updates that Apple sends?
