I bought a mint condition 32Gb wifi/3G iPad for 350 yesterday with the intention of selling it on ebay and making double what I paid for it. Today however I found a MBP on craigslist with a 2.13Ghz pro, 2 Gbs of ram and a 500Gb hhd. It is a late 2006 model, the over all condition of the laptop is good. My question to you is would this be a good trade or no? Thanks.

doubt you will double investment with ebay fees...

and i dont think its a good trade.

yea this is true, most of the ones I have been watching have all sold for around 510-560 but thats still over 100$ profit. Could you elaborate on why it wouldn't be a good trade? Thanks

I would rather have an iPad than a five year old computer. There comes a time when a computer has seen better days.

Because the laptop will be pushing 5 years this year.

This reminds me of the guy who traded up to a porsche on craigslist.

I say go for it. Then again I'm the guy with the MacBook :)

Well I have a macbook already and the whole intention of the trade would be to make more money. Which out of the 2 would I be able to sell for more on ebay? I am thinking the iPad but I just wanted a second opinion.

well I have a mid 2007 Macbook with a 2.0 Ghz pro, 2gbs of ram and a 500 Gb hhd. So essentially I could trade the ipad for the MBP and sell my MB but would I see any improvements since the MBP will be older?
