Hey everybody! I'm new to the Macbook community :) just got it today

So I have a question... So I've read that the keyboard sometimes scratches the screen when you close the macbook pro. 1.Is this true? 2.For now should I use the plastic thing with the cloth like material on top that came in between the screen and keyboard for now if at all? and 3. Should I buy one of those cloth things to protect the screen when I have my macbook closed?

Thanks guys!

The screen doesn't normally touch the keys when closed, but if you put it in a backpack with books and other stuff in there it can put pressure on the lid and that's when you'd get the keys pressing up against the screen. You can just use that styrofoam-like protector that came with your computer but I personally like putting a microfiber cloth in there between the keys and screen when I am transporting my computer.

oh thanks guys... yeah my friend uses the microfiber cloth too and i just found mine haha... i'll try not to put it in a backpack with other books.

If you want a multi-purpose cloth that is awesome with everything, I recommend spending a few bucks on Radtech <--- Totally worth it.

Yes, even the Unibody models are susceptible to keyboard imprints. We have used the Shaggymac Protectors since the PB Ti days.

Worth every penny and always get top dollar on resale.
