Hi All-

Not sure I knew what I was buying. Based on reading reviews etc. & simplicity of setup, thought this would be a snap.

See my system in my sig. I just received the Airport Express (AX) 802.11n Wi-Fi. My system has Airport Utility 5.5.1 installed, no need to install from the CD which came with the AX. My iMac also has Airport Extreme Card (Ox168C, 0x8F). I have a pair of AudioEngine A5's, powered bookshelf speakers, they work.

I have no need to use the AX features except for the wireless A5 speaker setup. I don't need the Ethernet for wireless internet, I just keep it plugged in. I have no wireless compatible printer so I don't need to wire that up.

As all the youtube reviews show on these speakers, you plug the AX into the outlet on the back of the powered A5 & the AX audio output lead to the speaker input. Once the AX is plugged in to the speaker power outlet & audio connections made the AX turns yellow and finally starts blinking yellow.

Next I open Airport Utility and it immediately scans for wireless devices, it never finds the AX. I have pressed the reset on the AX numerous time, unplugged it, rebooted the iMac etc. etc. it never locates the AX. The AX is about12 feet from the iMac, don't tell me it's too far away-

What simple thing am I missing?? very frustrating....
