Why? OSX manages memory just fine, I don't think you need to worry about this.

Computer Temperature:

1) Temperature Gauge

I use iStat.

I've got coconut battery on mine. I only downloaded it to check the health on my battery since my laptop is nearly 3 years old. You don't really need to worry about this kind of stuff though.

I've never had a need for this kind of stuff, so I'm not sure which one would be the best.

I'm looking at some Utility Apps in the Mac App Store for my new :apple: Macbook Pro with Retina Display. Any recommendations on the following apps or other suggestions doing these functions?

Memory Cleaning:

Dont really need OS X is good enough, third part solutions are likely to do more harm than good.

Computer Temperature:

1 - UltraFan by far the best for temp control on OS X (anyone with a Mac should look at this one)
2 - SMC Fan Control resets minimum fan RPM to user defined value
3 - Bresink Temperature Monitor most comprehensive temp monitor at present & free; all sensors are utilised and can be graphed.

Coconut Battery, now with excellent online comparisons

Hard Drive Cleaning:

CleanApp if you really need, logs installations and has online data base so is pretty good at catching all files to uninstall and clean up lost files.
