need advice on the best way to get an iphone

Hi everyone, i currently have a nokia 5800 :(, i'm not impressed with it at all and i'm thinking about going back to iphone as i had the 2g one and loved it, i'm currently on an orange contract and have about 13 months left of it, i want an iphone 3g, not too fussed about 3g s, what would be the best way of getting an iphone? i cannot cancel my orange contract abviously, the iphone 3g costs about £550 sim free which is crazy money so i'm kinda stuck

any ideas?
