I'm currently looking to replace my Macbook Pro that I bought in the spring of 2006 with a new model. I've been looking at the 15" size and I was wondering if the extra .2GHz, 250 GB and updated video memory is worth the extra $400. I tend to use my Pro for video editing, some graphic manipulation, and gaming from time to time, so I'm definitely looking for a high end laptop, but I'm not sure if I need to spend the extra cash.

Also, should I wait for the next model to be released? The buyer's guide on this site said I should, but it hasn't been updated since March.

Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

the current model was just updated. I think the buyers guide says so.

A bit more power is nice. Probably not worth $400, but since you can't upgrade later, if you can afford it, why not go with the high end model.

A little issue here is the HDD. I would upgrade to an SSD, but the 256 is too expensive in my opinion. If you can live with 128GB, the upgrade is only $100 for the high end model, while it's $200 for the low end.
