just about to buy my first macbook. (the new mbpr 13'')

just wondering about the differant processors avalible.

is the i7 overkill for easier jobs in PS? just basic editing of raw files

wich of the two avalible i5s is to prefer? is the more expensive one worth it?

The i5 in even the base model is more than powerful enough for the usage you described.

+1. The CPU upgrade is the least significant. If you're going to splurge, do it on RAM or a bigger SSD.
