Got it from purchasing a MBP. I already have a phone, but it doesn't have internet. I think it's kind of cool to have wifi built in so I can go online at certain locations.

Also, if you ever sold your free itouch, how much did you get (minus any ebay fees)?

Thoughts on this??

I sold my 8GB iPod Touch on Craigslist. I was feeling generous, so I sold it for $150. Had cash in hand within 2 hours of listing it.

What's this "iTouch" of which you speak? Is it the new tablet?

That's unfortunately against the rules now... I could diverge...

To the OP: I'd sell it unless you need an iPod, I found myself rarely using the internet on it. Also, if you are going to sell it, you need to quickly as the new ones are just around the corner. (That might be the other option: sell now, get money, buy updated one for $50 - assuming you can $175 for it, which you should)

Unless you really want the cash, keep the ipod touch, you won't regret it. It's like a netbook that fits in your hand!

^ Yes. Technically, the tax came out to about $21, but nontheless "free."

What are the new features going to be for the upcoming Ipod Touch? ;)

You can guess there will be a capacity bump, a speed bump would be logical too but no one really knows, well there is one guy here who knows the inner workings of Apple but no one else really knows.

One could also hope that they add a GPS to it so you can use it for Tom-Tom type functions. It'd make a lot of sense.

i don't know if this guy at the apple store was just messing around, but he mentioned something about a mic in the new ipod touch, as well.

If you really want a camera, capacity bump, and some of the new features, sell it for as much as you can and put the money towards the new iPod touch most likely coming this September. If you just want to browse the web, use apps, listen to music, and watch video and you could care less about the rumored new features just keep this one. I don't think the iPod touch is getting a major overhaul considering the iPhone 3G was only tweaked into the 3G S.
