I am going to buy the 24 " iMac with 500 gig hd I was wondering should I buy direct from the canadian apple site or buy from our local dealer the thing with our local dealer is markup in the price, do think it would be cheaper to buy from apple direct or from the other dealer.

Well, if your local dealer does price the unit to cover their costs, then it will be more expensive at the dealer. You tell us: how much is the dealer charging versus the cost direct from Apple? Compare them, and you'll know which is more expensive.

Note that buying direct from Apple usually means less warranty hassles if you ever have to make a claim.

I agree with the poster above, Buy directly from there wont be a problem if there is a problem
