i can't decide which to purchase. it's between the last generation 2.4 refurb or the 2.4 new generation with the edu discount. this will be my first mac. I'm just not sure if it's worth extra money for the new speed bump, multi-touch, and bigger hard-drive.

if you don't need the screen estate... you could go with a macbook and save even more cash
