iOS Need Advice

I am wanting to make apps but I am wondering if i need to have a mac or if i could possibly use a mac emulator on my pc.

If you have a MAC emulator up and running on a PC, why not download the IPhone SDK (for free) and see if it works. I would think that if you can compile and run code on the Iphone simulator, it would be a good bet that you could download it to a phone as well.
