Gee. No iris Pro 580 as expected - had decided to go for that... ;)
Really makes me wonder which way to go as I'm out on diskspace on my rMBP 2014.

My needs are photo editing in Adobe LR and PS. No video editing

The 13" has a Iris Pro 550 which is far more powerfull than what i have today.
The 15" however "just" has a Iris Pro 530.

Assuming that i won't that that much benefit of the Polaris DPGU for my usage?

Would the 13" be best choice for my need - any advise?

Any advise?

The 15 inch all have new Polaris AMD graphics cards!!!

13" is fine for hobbyist/occasional editing, but you could of course connect to a decent external screen to do your work as well.

15" is far more suitable for frequent photo editing, although the 15" pricing is obscene.

Can you utilise the Polaris for 2D graphics?
My assumption was that this was really more for Video/3D

Correct me is mistaken....

Something else to consider.

I have a 15" MBP and wife has a 13 rMBP while there is a big difference in screen size, the 15" is heavy and a pain to travel with. I will get a 13 next go around.

You should reconsider it since Apple has lower so much the weight of their computer!
