Need App for Aggregation of Specific Topics

I would appreciate suggestions for the most useful app for collecting information on a specific topic.

The problem that I have with apps such as Flip and Zite....often information/news comes from unreliable sources.

Is there an app that can be used to search only selected sources such as journals and exclude all others?
