Is there any app which can trap the song output....for example i want to record a piece of audio from a flash file on a website? Is there any app which can record audio output?

I'm sorry I meant to say audio Hijack, I don't know why I said mac the ripper, oh wait yes I do, it's 350 in the morning:eek:

Hi

I haven't tried this hijack thingy yet as it's US$16 and I'm cheap :p

For those like me, and those with Intel Macs here are 2 cheap/complicated ways:
a1) get "Download helper" extension for Firefox; use it to download the .FLV (that's flash animation/video) from Youtube/whatever;

a2) send file to www.zamzar.com for free conversion to .WAV or other sound format of your choice

OR:

b1) get Jack (http://www.jackosx.com/) and Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/).

b2) Get them to work together and all your sound will be under your control :)

I had no success with b) yet, but I have an ASUS PC at the office and the soundcard itself can be configured to choose its own output as the sound source, so I'm covered :)

Wiretap Pro is anothere good program for recording anything that comes through your computer. Been using it for quite a while now and it does a very good job.
