Very strange things going on.

Downloaded an episodes of old tv show from a torrent. (a demo for an acting client who is in them). It has an AVI extention.

I managed to get a glimpse of the episode using VLC, It would not play in MPEG STREAM, QUICKTIME, or any other player even with the "correct" divx plugs. Watched about 30 secs of it then left it alone to finish download. Looked great. Then...

The download completed. And now NOTHING will open it or even acknowledge that it is a movie file at all. Will not play in the VLC that it worked in earlier, MPEG STREAM, Quicktime ("THIS IS NOT A MOVIE FILE").

What can I Do? I just watched 30 secs of it! ANd now its a ghost...
