Once you unlock your iphone to use on other carriers, do apple software updates re-lock it back to ATT again?
My understanding is that apple updates will make your phone no longer jailbroken. I don't care about that; jailbreaking is only necessary so that you can install the software which unlocks the phone, correct? After updates, will my phone remain unlocked but non-jailbroken? Or will it totally revert?
I know it would be better to buy an unlocked iphone directly from apple, but I'm looking at buying a lightly used iphone4 from someone who is upgrading, and those phones are carrier-locked to ATT.
