I received a white 2006 macbook that I bought off ebay last week. When I turned it on, it showed an X on the battery and said "No batteries available".

I looked online, and found reset SMC. When I took out the battery to look at the charge. NO LEDs showed up. I'm a computer geek, and a Mac user. I have a MacBook Pro and a Mac mini. Although, I've never seen this problem. I saw something on youtube. Where they said No LEDs, it is a logic board error. That was for the aluminum MacBook, which is the one I have.

I need clarification that it is the battery. I am planning on buying a new battery on ebay. Although, before I do, I want to know for sure it's the battery. Instead of wasting money.

My cousin has the same MacBook. She had a problem, where she has to keep the MacBook plugged in 24/7. Another reason why I'm coming here to find out for sure.
