Need Clarification on JAilbreak

Okay, Im really confused about the jailbreak methods. I currently have a jailbroken 1.1.2 ipod Touch and want the 1.1.3 jailbreak. Is there a way I can d it from the installer? I've heard about soft-upgrade, which I dont want to do.

iJailbreak mobile and the dev team jailbreaks are both soft-upgrades, right? For some reason, I cant find the guide I used before, but I had previously used a method where I upgrade thru iTunes, then jailbreak wirelessly.

EDIT: I just used one titled 1.1.3 JAilbreak+Apps. How do I know if this was a full upgrade or soft? Also, Should that category still be appearing now that Ive already used it?

yes it will still show, this one is a full upgrade to 1.1.3 I have used the same source as you. The reason it still shows in the installer is because you still have the source in installer so the category will show ..... dont worry about it being there it still means you have done a full upgrade to 1.1.3
