so I have a new M3 PRO MACBOOK 16 inch and really like it so far, however I'm running into some issue making it a desktop pc as well.
Im looking to plug this into a dock that will support my 4K monitor at up to 240hz while also allowing a second monitor standard 60fps monitor to be hooked up also.

My Monitor supports DP and HDMI and not Thunderbolt since it's an LG monitor. Can anyone give me a recommendation for this setup or is it just not doable with the current tech out there?

Thanks in advance

Everything is straightforward except for 240Hz, with 120/144Hz being more achievable - over USB-C to Displayport 1.4 with an 8K adapter not HDMI.
This long thread investigates the problems... o_O

What is possible is only one external display at 4K resolution at 240Hz over HDMI, with a certified 8K cable.
That’s according to Apple on their website.

The best dock for more than one monitor is a Thunderbolt 4 dock (if you want 4K at greater than 60Hz), like the Caldigit TB4 ones.
It can be done with a TB3 dock, but higher than 60Hz might not work.

With either TB3 or TB4 docks, connect using the downstream TB port for the 4K monitor (USB-C to Displayport 1.4 8K adapter) and a DP or HDMI port on the dock for the other monitor.

so with a TB4 dock I can get 1 4K/120 screen and 1 1920x1080 60FPS screen?
