First post, so sorry if this is in the wrong forum but going out in a minute and need to rush so hopefully can have this answered when I return.
My sister film some dance thing on a small video camera over the weekend and wants to me edit the footage. However, she borrowed the video camera and now only has the miniDVD disc that has the recorded footage on it. I can plug it into my Mac fine, but when I look in the files on the DVD, only two video files come up, one that is 11seconds, the other 4, when I put them across into Final Cut Pro. They are both VOB files, but when I play them through VLC, they play fine.
Also, when I transfer them over to Final Cut, they lose sound.
Does anyone know how to get these files from the minidisc, to Final Cut? What software to use and how to go about doing it? It's stressing me out that I can view the DVD no problem, but as soon as I want to do something with the VOB files it all goes to pot.
Thanks in advance!
