I believe the iPhone 7 Plus is limited to 5 vdc but capable of charging at 10 watts. A quality 10-12 watt charger (iPad) with a quality cable will max at the speed of charging fairly easily on the iPhone 7. 5vdc x 2amp = 10 watt.
From the iPhone 8 and later there were dedicated means of fast charging implemented. This is done by using higher voltages to about 80% before reducing the voltage to 5 vdc. Apples 18 watt charger uses 5 vdc 3 amp / 9 vdc 2 amp, 9 vdc x 2 amp = 18 watt.
Regardless just get 12 watt iPad charger or
something like this which will work now and in the future for fast charging. Make sure you have a high quality lightning cable, resistance in the cable kills charging time, shorter the better if you are concerned about it.
