I have iPhone 7 Plus, need advice on purchasing fast wall charger , Apple 5w wall charger is damn slow. any recommendations?

Apple's 12w iPad charger? Or switch to a USB-C to Lightning cable and pick up an Anker USB-C charger...
How fast will the Anker USB-C charge compared to 5W and exactly which Anker charger am I looking for? I see many different types.

What others said re: Apple 12w or Anker or Aukey or a USB-C charger.

Here's an old thread about relative charge times.

Me, I keep by the bed an Apple 12w that came with my latest iPad. Does fast enough. Also have a couple of Anker two port chargers (24w total, 12w per) for travel, work.

18w seems to be the sweet spot. But even then, cost for charger, MFi cables, 12w will give you darn close to 18w charging at a lower cost (ie. No extra cable needed).

I believe the iPhone 7 Plus is limited to 5 vdc but capable of charging at 10 watts. A quality 10-12 watt charger (iPad) with a quality cable will max at the speed of charging fairly easily on the iPhone 7. 5vdc x 2amp = 10 watt.

From the iPhone 8 and later there were dedicated means of fast charging implemented. This is done by using higher voltages to about 80% before reducing the voltage to 5 vdc. Apples 18 watt charger uses 5 vdc 3 amp / 9 vdc 2 amp, 9 vdc x 2 amp = 18 watt.

Regardless just get 12 watt iPad charger or something like this which will work now and in the future for fast charging. Make sure you have a high quality lightning cable, resistance in the cable kills charging time, shorter the better if you are concerned about it.
