Looking at buying the new 8core.
Anyone know of concerns...issues with these?

Thanks in advance
Laz

There have been some sleep issues, addressed (but seemingly not 100% fixed), but apart from that they've been pretty bug-free compared to most other computers.

It's beautiful. Everything is so ridiculously responsive, it feels a mile away from any other computer. Get a gig a core for the best performance. The best computer i've owned- and ive built several PCs, owned several mac laptops!

Best computer ever. To avoid the sleep issues, which hopefully are now fixed with the new firmware, just leave it on 24/7, like me. Have had no issues, except with the first one I bought and sent back. :D

Incredible machine, best computer I've had the *pleasure* of using (i.e. it wasn't *fun* to run Windows....it's actually enjoyable to use OS X on this beast ;))

Unless you're doing super high end graphics/video work, you'll have lots of power to spare in those 8 cores - I run Folding@home, and it keeps the cores busy, but I *still* never have so much as a hiccup or any hint of a slowdown running like 8-10 apps at once, in addition to folding...

If you can afford it, GET IT! :D:apple:

To all the guys running Folding@home, how much does it affect your monthly utility bills?
