Need fonts arranged by family in menus!

I use OS 10.3.4, Macromedia FreeHand 10, Suitcase X1. I have many fonts open that appear in a long list with no rhyme or reason to its order. In the old days, I used Adobe Type Reunion which organized fonts into families. For instance, choosing Helvetica presented a drop down menu with italic, bold, condensed, etc all in one place.

Is there anything I can use to make my font menus in OSX do the same thing? This is driving me crazy.
