Need for Airport Extreme?

I just received an updated modem from my cable company and it contains built in wireless. Is there really any need to continue using my AirPort Extreme if I don't really use any of the other functionality, other than having had used it for the wireless functionality?

Should I simply retire my router now that I have one built in?

Any thoughts are appreciated!

Unless your Airport extreme is pretty old, chances are, it's better than the wireless that's built into the modem.

U should get your own modem so you don't have to lease it.
