does installing SAM mean i don't need ultrasnow anymore!?!?! :S

and what if i do a stock ipsw upgrade and the baseband is updated to that in the stock firmware.will i be able to unlock my phone then with my SAM backups?

Apple has already fixed the bug in their server that allowed SAM to unlock the phones. So if you have not already used it, it is too late. :(

i have already unlocked using SAM and backed up the tickets for future use.im just asking if i need ultrasnow on my phone anymore and will i be able to use the tickets with SAM if i update to stock firmware basebands

Ah, I misunderstood your question.

I don't know the answer for sure, but I would guess so. Of course, it is possible that the ticket is somehow associated with a specific baseband, so don't try until somebody who knows has answered.

after removing ultrasn0w, my phone shows no service. turns out i need ultrasn0w installed after all alongside SAM. basically SAM has fixed push and battery drain issues for me only!

Weird.
I know Sam unlocked all devices without ultrasnow at all.
But maybe you were too late and Apple closed the exploit.

Confirmed! I have 2 iphones that have been unlocked using SAM without ultrasn0w. Iphone 4 with 5.1 and the other is 4S with 5.0.1. I don't need ultrasn0w at all on these 2 phone and they are remain unlocked.

but i was on time or else i wouldn't have received an activation ticket from apple's servers in the 1st place.weird!

maybe this is happening because i didnt remove ultrasn0w before activating with SAM.my guess is SAM only helped get me the certificate and left the unlocking to ultrasn0w.just a theory!
