I need a functional, reliable external keyboard and I am wondering if there are any really good models out there in the $20-$30 range.

Two that I have seen, the I-Rocks MAC X-Slim, and the Macally ICEKEY. Both look decent, but I have viewed an awful lot of complaints about Macally products in general. They appear to make a lot of crap.

Anyone have one of these keyboards?

I couldn't stand the factory Apple keyboard that came with my white intel iMac. I picked up a Macally "IceKey" from amazon.com and it's been fine - far, FAR better feel than the Apple keyboard.

The x-slim doesn't look bad, either. You'll probably do roughly the same with either.

Anyone know if the Macally ICEKEY keyboard can have the numeric pad configured to work like the navigation keys / Home / End etc?

I'm used to workign with the numlock off on my windows machine and unfortunately could not find a way to configure the apple keyboard numeric pad to work this way.
