I have a 1st generation (purchased in 2006) 15" MacBook Pro with 1.83 GHz Intel Core Duo, 512MB RAM and 80GB harddrive. I have caught the Snow Leopard-induced (requires 1GB RAM) upgrade bug. As such, I have purchased 2GB RAM which I will install in a few days when it arrives. I have found two harddrives that I am toying with buying: a 250GB, 7200RPM Hitachi Travelstar 7K320 for $78.99 http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Hitachi/0A57546/
or a 320GB, 7200RPM, Hitachi Travelstar 7K320 for $89.99
http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Hitachi/0A57547/.

My questions are:

1) Are these harddrives compatible with my computer?
2) Are these good deals?
3) Should I be leaning to some other harddrives, such as WD Scorpion or a Seagate?

Any advice you can provide is soooo appreciated!!
