One of the reasons I got my G5 was to work on my music. I need some suggestions on how to tie this all together.
Here is the kit I have:
G5
Several guitars (only need to connect one at a time)
Boss pre-amp with speaker simulator (to be replaced by NI Guitar Rig)
Medium sized synth
Drum Machine
Logic Express 6
What I want to be able to do:
Multiple audio input - Have each piece (Guitar, Synth, Drum machine) come into Logic as seperate audio tracks
Multiple MIDI input - Have each midi device (Synth, Drums machine) connect to the Mac (not in a chain) with the Mac as the master
DAW - work with multi channel audio recordings, loops and sync'd MIDI
I'm probably going to upgrade to Logic Express 7. I'm not opposed to buying the right gear but obviously I'd like to minimize my costs.
What are some thoughts out there for bringing all my kit together on my G5?
