Ok, so my 06' white macbook with 2.0 GHz and 1 gig of ram was upgraded from tiger to snow leapord today. I noticed a huge speed increase and I got 5 GB of space back, but I cant find the FNC Fan Control app. On top of that, when I change it in the system prefences, it doesnt do anything. My fans are running at 6000 RPM at almost minimum load. Help?

Could be an issue of having SMC controller installed. What you can do though is go to Activity Monitor, change the drop-down at the top to "All Processes" and make sure nothing is hung up sucking down CPU cycles.

You can also try rebooting and performing a PRAM and SMC reset.
