I have been playing with webdesign for about a year now and my music files that work in PC machines do not work with my Mac which is running 10.3.7

How do I get the sound to work in a mac? They are .wma files and are there other files that will work with both Operating systems?

.wma is a Microsoft format. It might play if Windows Media Player is installed on the Mac. mp3 is probably the most compatable choice if you don't need DRM.

God, oh god please no! Don't put sound on your site, for the people that go to it will find it annoying. As someone from Slashdot has said before: "If I wanted your site to make sound, I would lick my finger and rub it on the screen."

Sound on websites = BAD.

Having made my moral stance, I don't think a wma file is going to play natively on a mac w/o launching the WMP. I know midi files work fine, but I have no knowledge of any other sound file that'll just play on both platforms. That doesn't mean they don't, cause I don't use sound on my sites (see above). If I did, it'd probably be a part of a flash experience, so I'd use whatever works with flash.

Thanx guys

I don't use sound sound either but people want music and games on their sites.

Again, thank you very much, I really appreciate it. :)
