I am interested in disk imaging software which I can boot to using a DVD/CD and with which I can image the entire hard disk of my MAC (including both MAC and Windows partitions) and save that image to blank DVDs/CDs.

This software therefore must have built-in DVD/CD writing capability.

The only one I found so far that works is Paragon Backup & Recovery. I tried Arconis, but Arconis will not eject the disc from my SuperDrive (which does not have a hard eject button) so that I may put in a blank disc.

Clonezilla does not have built-in DVD/CD writing capability.

Can someone please give me some suggestions?

Disk Utility

Open finder, select the applications tab, locate the utilities folder, and locate the app Disk Utility. That's what I use for creating my bootable Linux CD's. Hope this helped.

I am afraid I don't understand at all how your answer will help me. I am looking for an imaging software that I can boot to when I first powered on the Mac to do a baremetal backup to a blank CD on the Superdrive.

Huh?

Open finder, select the applications tab, locate the utilities folder, and locate the app Disk Utility. That's what I use for creating my bootable Linux CD's. Hope this helped.
