Hi,

I'm purchasing a Macbook 2.1Ghz from Apple.com when I found a 2.4 Ghz Macbook on another website on sale for the same price as the 2.1 Ghz on Apple.com. Should I buy the 2.4 Ghz instead? It doesn't give me the fifty dollar educator discount that Apple gives me. Nor does it give me a free printer.

The 2.4Ghz- http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0283291

the 2.1 ghz http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/shop_mac/family/macbook?mco=MTE3MzM (999 Dollar one, 949 after my discount)

Thanks,
Jason

If its the same price then get the 2.4GHz one.

1) You'll have more power, so your computer will be faster

2) If you ever decide to sell it, you will get more for it than if you had the 2.1GHz

I'd buy from Apple. That site looks shifty.

It's a computer store in my area, the tax is also 3.5% versus the 7 % I would have to pay online. I was just wondering is the 2.4 Ghz an older model than the 2.1 Ghz that Apple offers on their website now? Also the one on Apple their 2.1 Ghz has a 5 hour battery life while this one has a 4.5 hour battery life. If this one is better I'll cancel my order with Apple.

Micro center isn't shifty. They're a computer store in my area as well. Imagine a Best Buy only better.

So I should just go for the 2.4 Ghz?
